**About the Role
In the AO7 PFA (Financial Governance) role, you will
- be supported by, and responsible for leading, a small, high-performing corporate Financial Governance team, through effective team planning, allocations and
monitoring, advice and identification of training needs.
- lead the department's annual financial internal control report (FICR) to support TMR's CFO Assurance Certification process including the development and
implementation of an appropriate risk-based delivery framework, including coordinating Risk Assessments
- lead regular monitoring, maintenance and improvement of TMR's Financial Management Practice Manual (FMPM), and other key policies including the Financial
Delegations Manual, Project Commencement Approvals, Gifts and Benefits policy and the Appropriate and Ethical Use of Public Resources Policy.
- provide high-quality, accurate and consistent advice to internal and external stakeholders and customers, senior leaders and the CFO including writing and
reviewing complex reports, briefing notes, submissions etc. following departmental standards.

Skills & Experience
The AO7 PFA (Financial Governance) role requires you will have
- Strong knowledge of accounting concepts and processes as they relate to financial internal controls, the Financial Accountability Act 2009, the Financial and
Performance Management Standard 2019, the Financial Accountability Handbook and other relevant financial governance or Accounting Standards.
- Experience in planning and delivering annual CFO Assurance Statements, Financial Internal Controls Reports, or similar.
- Excellent communication skills and provide accurate and high-quality advice to employees and key contacts and direct reports to facilitate the effective discharge of
taxation accountabilities whilst ensuring effective compliance.
- Lead a small, high-performing finance or taxation team, and people management including the management of daily/weekly task allocation, recruitment, performance, capability development, team communication, and ensuring a safe and diverse work environment.
