**The opportunity**:
We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Rheumatology Research Nurse/Assistant to join our dynamic team within the Rheumatology Unit. This position offers the exciting opportunity to contribute to vital research focused on children with Juvenile Arthritis and be involved in major national studies, including A3BC (Australian Arthritis and Autoimmune Biobank) and AJAR (Australian Juvenile Arthritis Registry).
As a Research Nurse/Assistant, your primary role will be to recruit children from our outpatient clinics and joint injection lists to participate in these groundbreaking studies. You will play a key part in coordinating research activities, working closely with both clinical and research teams to ensure the smooth and efficient execution of these projects.
You will collaborate with the Research Coordinator and work under the guidance of the Project Leader and team members to carry out the important work within the Rheumatology Unit.

**Your responsibilities include**:
Recruiting children for research studies related to Juvenile Arthritis.
Coordinating research activities in close collaboration with clinical teams.
Contributing to the success of national research projects like A3BC and AJAR.
Supporting the Research Coordinator and team members under the direction of the Project Leader.
Complete administrative duties to contribute to the day-to-day operations of rheumatology research
Liaise with the team members regarding data collection procedures
Ensure that data collection and production timelines are achieved - both individually and by the team
Assist in the preparation and help submit project reports/data on time and as required
Support in HREC requirements, submissions, modifications and annual reports
Assist in the preparation of material for reports, grants, meetings, publications and seminars as appropriate and other matters if required and as directed
**What we need from you**:
A Degree, Honours, or Masters qualification in Science, Nursing or a related discipline.
Appropriate level of expertise gained through a combination of experience, training, or professional accreditation.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Capacity to establish warm, constructive relationships with parents, children, and multidisciplinary colleagues.
Proven meticulousness in data collection and management.
Strong time management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and meet deadlines.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly when handling complex research challenges.
Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and professionally.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and up-to-date literature-searching skills, with familiarity in REDCap (preferable).
