As a Ground Handling Support Officer, you will work with the Commercial Ground Handling team, primarily supporting the Manager Ground Handing and Ground Handling Advisor with third-party ground handling services (for Offshore Qantas, Jetstar, Freighters, Domestic and Regional ports) across the Qantas Freight portfolio.

This role is responsible for ensuring the team operates effectively and efficiently by providing the appropriate level of administrative and financial support to the function. The role supports assurance, safety, service and training requirements for the ground handling network and is a key contact for Australia based ground handlers contracted to Qantas Freight.

You'll have
- Previous experience in a support role, across airline or freight
- Strong written and verbal skills
- Outstanding organizational ability and time management skills
- Ability to work under pressure on multiple tasks
- Ability to self-initiate, lead as well as “do” both autonomously and in teams.
- Initiate drive, strong attention to detail and solution focused
- Ability to pull reporting from existing data sources
- Ability to analyse, evaluate and appropriately resolve complex and diverse customer and supplier problems, quickly and empathetically
- Work effectively both independently and as a member of a cross-functional, collaborative team.
- Influencing and negotiation skills in both a customer and supplier environment.
- Sound knowledge in using Intelex, eQ is desirable
- Intermediate experience in using Excel and PowerPoint
