**The Role**

The
**HSEQ Advisor** works closely with managers and staff to help manage the health, safety, environmental and quality management systems ensuring compliance and improvement within ENGV.

The HSEQ Advisor will assist with review, development, implementation, and assessment of comprehensive occupational, health and safety management plans and the delivery of initiatives that improve safety outcomes in the workplace across the organisations.

Key responsibilities:

- Personally adhere to safety standards and enforce safety amongst others
- Engage, participate, develop and implementation in HSEQ programs, training, risk assessments, toolbox discussions and other HSE initiatives
- Report monthly to corporate HSEQ
- Assist in the investigation and reporting of reportable incidents and accidents in the workplace
- Prepare the Company’s Safety and Environmental Performance and statistical reports
- Attend all scheduled Safety Meetings
- Prepare on a as needs basis, Training Needs Analysis for each of the workplaces
- Conduct workplace inspections and undertake regular internal safety and environmental audits of the systems and / or associated processes, procedures, and work practices
- Ensure the Operations Health & Safety Management Plan, Environmental Management Plan and QA Plan regarding Pacific Energy personnel and subcontractors’ requirements are consistently and comprehensively deployed in the field and monitored
- Assist in the assessment of impacts on Safety and Environment of planned and actual changes to the workplace and work practices
- Advise management with direction regarding safety, health, environmental and training matters
- Maintain relevant workplace registers

**About You**
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in a similar role
- Cert IV Work Health & Safety
- Demonstrated knowledge of Risk Management in a High-Risk Utilities business
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of a certified IMS - with an emphasis of document development and implementation
- Demonstrated knowledge and ability of Internal Auditing of an IMS
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously
- High level Report writing skills (Including statistical WHS data)
- High level computer skills
- Highly developed communication skills
- Suitable training presentation skills (to undertake internal training, WHS / IMS Documentation)
- WHS Investigation skills (ability to independently undertake / facilitate internal investigations)
- Well-developed understanding and knowledge of contractor requirements (Insurances, licensing, competency etc)
