An exciting opportunity to join a company that is breaking boundaries in the circular economy and recycling space. The Head Office is in the CBD and operates nationally. The organisation was founded to address a waste problem within a chemicals related industry and has grown significantly since their inception resulting in the need to hire a HSEQ specialist.

**About the Role**

The role will lead all HSEQ activities throughout the business, with the key responsibility to work with employees within the organisation to establish a robust and fit for purpose HSE and Quality system.

This will involve maintaining and updating a comprehensive risk profile, identifying critical risks and mitigation strategies, developing policies and procedures, and partnering with the business to become best practice in everything they do.

Critical to the role will be the ability to communicate with leaders of the business while digesting all information provided surrounding risks and having a solution focused mindset. This individual will be the champion of driving a safety & quality culture through mentoring & training of colleagues within the broader business.

**Skills & Experience**

This is an exciting and integral role within the business for future growth and your experience and skill set will include the following:

- Knowledge of HSEQ frameworks, legislation, & regulations and experience implementing policies & procedures successfully in a business.
- Demonstrated experience in working cross functionally with strong business partnering skills that build credibility and engagement through excellent communication.
- Relevant qualifications within OH&S.
- To support coordination and completion of ISO9001 / ISO14001 / ISO45001 accreditation and audits as well as supporting operational teams with any external audits.
- The ability to work in both a corporate and operational environment.
