**About the Role**

As the Finance Analyst in the Investment Efficiency team, you will be responsible for providing critical financial oversight and analysis for the Engineering department, encompassing Personnel cost, non-salary services, and CAPEX expenses. Key responsibilities include managing budgets, forecasts, and actuals, preparing variance analysis & management reporting and partner across the Engineering business, helping them make informed, data-driven decisions.

This position reports directly to the Investment Efficiency Finance Manager and is based at our IMG Product Development Centre, Broadmeadows with travel to alternate Ford locations within Victoria, operating on a hybrid schedule with four days in the office.
- Tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA/CA highly desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar financial analysis or management accountant role.
- Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel & Power BI.
- Highly self-motivated, organized, and adept at prioritizing multiple tasks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proven ability to collaborate effectively across diverse stakeholder groups.
- Proactive self-starter comfortable navigating ambiguity and complex financial scenarios.

Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.**Manage Engineering Budgets & Forecasts**:Lead the preparation of annual budgets, rolling forecasts and analysis of actuals, for Personnel costs, non-salary services and CAPEX costs.
- **Conduct Financial Analysis**:Analyse performance vs. targets — uncover what’s driving results and recommend improvement strategies. Provide insights into cost management.
- **Prepare Key Financial Reports**:Drive monthly forecast reviews, highlighting risks, opportunities, and priorities. Prepare accurate, timely reports for leadership & key business partners.
- **Oversee Outsourcing Finances**:Coordinate financial aspects of Regional Services, including POs and billing.
- **Support Capital Expenditure**:Review and prepare CAPEX requests for leadership, providing key recommendations.
- **Collaboration**:Collaborate across departments to lift financial understanding and confidence in decision-making.
- **Continuous Improvement**:Champion smarter ways of working, help modernise systems & process and embrace data-driven decision-making.
