**THE ROLE**:
Our client is seeking an experienced Legal Practice and Finance Manager at the EL 1 level for a 12 month secondment to support a Legal Division within a high profile Commonwealth Department.
**THE RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Some of the key responsibilities of the role include:
- under the guidance of the Divisions executives, manage all aspects of the Division's legal practice;
- manage the LEX Matter Management System, and develop the Division’s precedent database;
- guide and assist in the delivery of key corporate functions and ensure the Division's compliance with rules and guidelines, including in relation to corporate procurement (including procuring of external legal services), budget and recruitment;
- coordinate relevant training for Divisional staff on matters including LEX, financial obligations and procurement;
- lead the Division’s external legal reporting obligations; and
- prepare data analysis to inform external and internal legal, financial and other reporting.
**THE REQUIREMENTS**:
Proven practice management and finance/procurement experience in a Commonwealth setting would be highly regarded.
