About the Role
As the Communications Manager, you will business partner with our members of the Australia Retail Leadership Team to develop and implement communication strategies and plans to support delivery of the overall Retail Bank Divisional strategy. Working closely with the Managing Directors, and in partnership with our extended Retail Communications team you will lead the delivery of internal communications and aide in the external communications for the portfolios, with a focus on driving clarity on their vision, goals, and objectives through crafting the best message for the right channels. You will lead the delivery of initiatives and internal events that drive employee engagement, build leadership capability, and embed the divisional strategy. A curious self-starter you will stay abreast of external insights, best practice, and emerging ideas from the communications and functions and finance/banking sectors more broadly.

What will your day look like?
**This role is accountable for**:
Developing and implementing communication strategies and plans for Australia Retail.
Working in collaboration with Retail Communications to ensure alignment in divisional and enterprise-wide communications.
Working in collaboration with Media Relations and Public Relations on reactive media responses and proactive opportunities, as required
Aiding in the delivery of regular divisional and leadership communication such as, team webcasts, roadshows, big calls, townhalls, as well as developing, executing and coordinating leaders’ activity and content for ANZ channels including Max and bluenotes/ANZ News.
Developing and executing some change communication to support the divisional priorities.
Developing Senior Leadership briefing material and speaking notes to deliver communications, with a focus on embedding strategy and creating clarity on goals and objectives.
Assisting with planning, organising and execution of internal events for the portfolios.
Supporting and contributing to Australia Retail’s key priorities when required.
Support strategic divisional programs and initiatives communications when required.
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
A proactive communications expert - highly skilled in development and delivery of internal and impactful communications.
Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence at executive and senior leadership levels.
Ability to work under time pressure in a dynamic and evolving context while navigating ambiguity.
Ability to deliver high-quality engagement activities including face-to-face and virtual conferences and events for senior leaders.
**Project management**: ability to produce, consult and follow through on significant communications plans and strategies (incl. digital and social)
