About the opportunity

The Professional Services Manager is the go-to person and will have the primary responsibility of building and executing the strategy for Professional Services within the APAC. The Professional Services Manager is also a counterpart to the Professional Services program owner within Global Sales & Marketing and regions by providing input to the global program strategy, business plan, collaboration in driving the initiative, and continuous alignment.

The Professional Services Manager works for the Professional Services' vision and mission, i.e., to build long-lasting relationships with customers and partners by providing tailored solutions and excellent experiences to our customers based on value-adding services and our unique know-how. These include development of software modules running on the software platform of our own IoT devices, and customization of the hardware of the devices.

In the Professional Services process, typically the Key Account Manager and Sales Engineer in the region in charge of the customer as well as the Professional Services Manager in the Head region shall contact the global team in the Professional Services offering to initiate and qualify the opportunity. Once it is registered as a project, there's a cycle of technical discussions and feedback, prototyping and contract discussions. The process will complete when the final delivery, invoicing and payment are done. The Professional Services Manager will help drive and support this process.

The Professional Services Manager will offer Professional Services beyond the company's standard offering, create value and trust, and build the brand by supporting our customers and partners with our unique expertise and with solutions & services tailored to their specific needs. This position reports to the Director Alliances, Portfolio and Customer Services, APAC.

This position requires travelling and calls with the HQ as well as within APAC region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create value for customers and partners and thereby build long-term business relationships
  • Coordinate and execute Professional Services activities with HQ and across regions and create a tactical plan for the Head region (e.g., including training, communication/marketing, and sales activities – all in partnership with relevant functions/resources at HQ and within the Head region)
  • Facilitate and foster cooperation and buy-in from the Sales and Sales Engineering teams across regions
  • Support contract discussions and communication between HQ and the region/customer
  • Support regional Professional Services person or local KAM/SE to manage and coordinate customer projects
  • Protect and expand Axis sales by creating product pull-through, i.e., associated product revenue generated by having the Professional Services project
  • Help create trust and build the brand through Professional Services
Qualification and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in business information systems, engineering, or equivalent
  • Min 5 years' experience in technology, business development, or sales
  • Solid project management experience and the ability to create and work within high performing teams
  • Extensive system design and integration experience (site surveys, camera placement, network design, bandwidth/storage calculations, pixels on target, application drawings (Visio, CAD), etc. in major projects)
We'd love to hear that you have/are:
  • Extensive industry knowledge of 3rd party hardware and software technology platforms
  • Experience in working with and supporting various SaaS or cloud-based technologies
  • Strong networking knowledge (TCP/IP, Routers, Switches, VPNs, etc.)
  • Extensive knowledge of image quality, video transport protocols, and compression technologies
  • Knowledge of the physical security and IT markets, including relevant products, technology, and future trends
  • Ability to understand and create detailed RFI/RFP responses and submittals, project bill of materials, reference architectures, and other supporting project documentation
  • Strong influencing and customer relationship skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Possess consultative thinking and approach
