An 18 year old industry market leader, has an ageing technology platform which is central to their industry in running all aspects of their clients complex businesses. Whilst customers and the industry wholly rely on the existing platform, they are crying out for the benefits, automation and streamlining that a modern product built in modern tech will offer. This role offers the chance to deliver a quantum leap for users to support a $1.2b industry in thriving over the coming years.

They have hired a high-profile and respected Senior Software CTO as employee number one for the new product. The CTO is now looking to hire the foundation team (employees 2-6) including the UI/UX Designer and a Product Manager, Front-End Tech Lead and Back-end Tech Lead to map, design and start the build. Whilst the client and industry are massively well funded, this role is working as a brand-new start up in a completely separate technical environment running in parallel (and eventually replacing) their existing product.

The UI/UX designer will work closely with the Product Manager and technical teams, designing the UI/UX for a blank canvas product. This role represents the opportunity to take ownership in replacing the clunky UI/UX customers struggle with but have no choice but to use, with a beautiful and streamlined UI in the new platform, which will offer users an intuitive and seamless experience for the first time.

Our client's current platform and relationships are central in their industry, so you will have direct access to key customers and stakeholders who are invested advocates for the new platform and UI/UX. The product is complex, automating and streamlining all functions for their client's business with key UI in them running their day-to-day businesses (e.g. finance, accounting, sales, logistics etc) as well as how they interact through the industries key marketplace.
