UX/UI Designer needed for digital projects for 6-month contract in large Educational institution. Hybrid role.

**Your new company**

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced UX/UI Designer to join a large Educational institution. This role will be a part-time (3 days a week), 6-month contract with the potential for extension.

**Your new role**
- You will design concepts, interactions, information architecture for implementation of the digital solution.
- Conduct and synthesise user research and co-design sessions to create user-friendly and accessible interfaces.
- Leverage existing user research, as well as conducting new research.
- Produce user journeys, prototyped concepts or wireframes, metrics for improving researcher career experience, recommendations reports and where possible test plans, interaction models, user task flows, UI specifications and other artefacts.
- Direct stakeholders ensuring correct utilisation of research and design outputs for successful project outcomes.
- Work in collaboration with accessibility, inclusion and diversity specialists and stakeholders to ensure solutions are accessible and inclusive.

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Experience in large, complex environments is preferable
- High-level understanding of accessibility and WCAG 2.1
- Proven digital design skills for enhancing the UI of COTS/SaaS platforms, as well as experience working with complex data visualisation
- Proven ability to create visual design artefacts ranging from low-fidelity concepts to highly polished digital designs
- Experience working with implementation team members (such as Developers and BA’s) to implement design concepts as live working systems
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, teamwork and customer service skills
