We are looking for a Manager Safety and Wellbeing to join the team on a 12-month maternity leave cover.

**You’ll contribute to**:

- Lead the Workplace Health, Safety, and Wellbeing function at WorkCover Queensland, managing and overseeing workers' compensation claims, incident investigations, safety policy design, and the delivery of WHS programs and wellbeing initiatives.
- Strategically promote workplace health, safety, and wellbeing while ensuring compliance with legislative requirements.
- Manage workers' compensation claims, rehabilitation, and return-to-work processes, while reporting on safety insights and trends to management and teams.
- Lead the management strategy and implementation of our prevention framework for identifying, assessing and managing psychosocial risk across our diverse workforce.
- Provide technical guidance and support to the team in managing and developing health, safety, and wellbeing programs.
- Use evidence-based approaches to implement workplace practice improvements and contribute to the creation of health and safety policies.

**A bit about you**:

- At least 5 years of proven experience in safety and wellbeing roles, particularly within an office-based workforce with diverse demographics
- Proven ability to lead a team to achieve goals and build mutually rewarding relationships between members
- Highly developed in the proactive use of effective interpersonal skills to build and maintain strong and effective relationships with customers, both internal and external
- Strong experience in the compilation and presentation of safety and wellbeing analytics
