**What you will be doing**

Working with a highly supportive team and reporting to the Contracts Industry Lead, you will manage a portfolio of IT services contracts.

**This role will**:

- Provide advice and support in connection with a range of contracts, including drafting and reviewing change control notices research and contract interpretation.
- Have a passion for continuous improvement and an understanding of how the best data is captured, sorted, analysed, used and reported to bring new and significant value.
- Complete regular account performance reporting and participate in ad-hoc data analysis and requests.
- Establish and maintain excellent business relationships with the account management assigned to you.
- Influence stakeholders with using strong problem-solving skills and sound commercial advice.
- Develop and execute negotiation strategies that minimize potential losses and benefit the organization’s financial performance.
- Monitor deadlines on deliverables and communicate on an ongoing basis with business partners and internal clients about contractual issues.
- Proactively monitor early warning and profit leakage triggers and development of handling plans.
- Proactively develop handling plans for high-risk matters.
- Develop detailed contract management plans.
- Provide ongoing expert advice to account teams regarding legal and commercial implications of specific terms and conditions in contracts.
- Monitor adherence to client policies, procedures and processes.
- Provide sales transactional support in connection assigned accounts portfolio.

**The skills you will bring**
- Bachelors’ degree, diploma or certifications and and/or government or major corporation. Outsourcing/supplier experience desirable.
- World Contract and Commercial Practitioner Certification would be an advantage.
- Contract and commercial drafting and assessment experience required, including a level of client (internal or external) engagement.
- Ability to provide guidance/interpretation on existing contract provisions.
- Ability to work remotely and within a team, build relationships with other business functions and become a trusted advisor (legal, finance, compliance etc).
- Demonstrable knowledge and judgment about contractual and commercial risks/issues in transactions.
- Demonstrate ability to think outside the box.
- Good working knowledge of the fundamental legal provisions of commercial contracts.
- Working location will be a flexible combination of home office and the local office of DXC. Location is flexible, with a preference for capital cities Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane or Canberra.
