Our client are a leading supplier of personal and beauty care products across Australasia, are looking for a Procurement Manager to join their team.

**The role**
As the Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for managing mainly direct spend with some indirect spend. This is a strategy focused procurement role as opposed to more transactional.

**Main responsibilities for the role**:

- Lead and develop a team of 2 within the procurement function
- Manage direct spend with some indirect spend
- Build supplier strategies and negotiate pricing
- Review and renegotiate contracts to mitigate any risks
- Create a supplier relationship program
- Work closely with NPD team to ensure new products are launched on time
- Negotiate and put in place Service level agreements
- Supply chain mapping, utilising supplier’s global capability to support global manufacturing strategy

This role is based in Kingsgrove. They also operate a hybrid model of working with flexibility to work from home and in the office.

**About you**
To be successful for this role, you will be an experienced Procurement Manager who’s worked in an FMCG environment managing direct spend. You’ll also be able to demonstrate the following:

- Lead a team of procurement professionals
- Be strategy focused and with a continuous improvement mindset
- Strong negotiation and communication abilities
