ABB Motion is seeking either an Electrical or Mechanical Fitter. In this role, you will be responsible to execute service work according to agreed workflows and in accordance with ABB standard processes and safety guidelines. You will also deliver excellent customer service to satisfy customers take action to identify new service business opportunities for ABB. This role reports to the Western Australia, State Sales Manager.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Performs service tasks, identifies technical problems, and makes analysis through workshop activity in any service categories
- Dismantle, rest and assemble electric motors, rotors and stator including but not limited to, cleaning and inspecting all components, carry out inspections and painting the motor
- Contributes to customer satisfaction by executing service work according to customer order and expectation. Creates and maintains a good relationship with customers and understands their needs. Identifies new sales opportunities and communicates them internally
- Proactively identifies potential equipment failures and requests proactive corrective actions. Troubleshoots equipment failure and makes recommendations to avoid repeating the problem in the future
- Applies safety rules and safe practices as well as environmental responsibilities. Reports unsafe practices and incidents

**Your background**:

- Must have Electrical or Mechanical license with a minimum of 3-year trades experience
- Experience in overhauling of electrical equipment
- Experience with rotating electrical equipment such as motors and generators will be advantageous
- Be able to operate a forklift would be advantageous but not required
- Basic computer skills are necessary
- Driven and energetic individual who can demonstrate a safety mindset and who can think outside the box to solve problems
- Proactive self-starter who can manage their own time on jobs, works well within teams and under pressure
