About the Role

An opportunity exists for a Fitter Machinist to join our team in Kewdale, WA. The facility offers excellent long term employment supplying to a stable industry and for team players who are interested in building a career path. We encourage multiskilling and will provide crane, fork and first aid training as a first step. Job Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Work with a productive and highly successful team
  • Machine and Fit components into assemblies to high quality standards
  • Multitask within multi machine environment
  • Assist engineering team with new designs and appropriate feedbacks
  • Fitting tasks involve manual lifting

Skills and Experience

  • Must have minimum 2 years of Fitter/Machinist experience in Mig Welding
  • Hands on experience of manual machines like Saw, Lathe, Milling, Drilling and pneumatic/electrical hand tools essential.
  • Welding experience preferred but not essential.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and work to the instructions.
  • Ability to use measuring instruments
  • Heavy component fitting and machining experience preferred but not essential
  • Experience of operating forklift and overhead crane preferred but not essential. Training will be provided to successful candidate
