**Support Worker - NDIS & Aged Care**

Home Caring is an ethical and fast-growing provider of NDIS and Aged Care services.

We are seeking motivated Support Workers to assist with the provision of high-quality exceptional care to a range of fantastic clients and participants currently engaged.

Our Support Workers are home-based and utilise a mobile work model (with electronic support for administration), attracting a travel reimbursement and ongoing training opportunities, appropriate to client need.

There is scope for our support staff to work specifically with NDIS participants, Aged Care clients or a mix of both.

**Main responsibilities and activities may include**:

- **Personal Care**: Provide assistance/standby assistance with daily self-care, such as bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming, getting in and out of bed, moving around the house and/or medication prompting;
- **Domestic Assistance**: Provide assistance with domestic chores, including assistance with light cleaning, dishwashing and/or laundry. May also include help with meal preparation where this is not the primary focus of the service;
- **Transport**: To assist clients to and from appointments and/or social activities;
- **Social Support**: In home or outside the home to access community facilities. This service generally aims to maintain a client’s community connection and fulfill the need for social interaction.

**Requirements**:

- A genuine passion to work alongside participants/the elderly and to make a positive and lasting difference in their lives
- Professional or lived experience of the NDIS and/or Aged Care sectors
- Experience of complex behaviours and behaviour support methods (a bonus - not a requirement)
- Excellent communication skills, commitment to a person-centred focus and flexibility to support needs based on individual circumstances
- A sense of humour (another bonus - not a requirement)
- Resilience and compassion
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Qualification in Disability, Aged Care or related field preferred
- Current First Aid certificate
- Current CPR certificate
- Current National Police check
- Current Drivers Licence & access to a reliable vehicle
- The right to work in Australia
- Full Covid-19 vaccination
- Different cultural backgrounds welcome, but not necessary

**Salary**: $30.00 - $38.00 per hour
