The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Principal Project Officer (Infrastructure Planning) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Provide authoritative and timely advice regarding specific non-clinical support services (For example, Operational Support Services), including strategies to ensure the successful design and delivery of health infrastructure
- Engage and collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in infrastructure planning
- Deliver change management, project management and project delivery services for larger scale and/or complex infrastructure planning initiatives
- Lead complex project planning and the delivery of infrastructure planning initiatives to achieve effective, efficient and sustainable outcomes for our patients, services and systems
- Maintain influential and consultative partnerships and networks with executive and senior management within the HHS, other government agencies, consumers, private sector and other stakeholders
About you
**To be successful in this position you will require**:
- While not mandatory, qualifications or formal training in program, project and/or change management is highly desirable
- Evidence of vaccination and remain vaccinated against - COVID 19
- This position will be required to work throughout the Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be completed

Salary
- Temporary full time (up to twelve months, with the possibility of extension)
- Base salary ranging from $122 108 - $131 044 per annum

The Strategy, Transformation and Major Capital division has been established to define, design, enhance delivery and sustainability of our most significant service improvement, digital and transformation opportunities.
Our high-level responsibilities for the division are for corporate strategy and planning and oversight and management of strategic partnerships, service improvement, digital transformation, digital operations, digital assets, digital partnerships, portfolio/program/project management including major capital/infrastructure programs, clinical coding, service disruption, service redesign.
The Partnership and Strategic Development Unit supports service delivery across a range of Gold Coast Hospital and Health services through:
- Facilitating strategic partnerships to support sufficient HHS infrastructure and service capacity
- Identifying opportunities, develop business cases and manage implementation of infrastructure planning and delivery to support alternate models of services delivery based on creating best value for money, and
- Facilitating planning, development and management of implementation of major capital / infrastructure programs and project
