About the Opportunity
As the Principal Advisor, Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) (Regional) you will:

- Provide high quality PBL training and support to schools in the region to improve learning outcomes for students with diverse learning needs.
- Support delivery of evidence based strategies and approaches for behaviour support to build safe, supportive and disciplined school learning environments.
- Manage regional PBL data in order to track PBL implementation and support schools with action planning.

The Principal Advisor, PBL (Regional)reports to a nominated regional delegate and the state-wide PBL Coordinator.
About the Role
As the Principal Advisor, Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) (Regional) you will have responsibility for the following:

- Work collaboratively with regional services to shape strategic thinking to promote and support delivery of positive behaviour support practices in schools with fidelity.
- As a key member of regional services provide advice and technical assistance to schools within state PBL implementation guidelines.
- Deliver a suite of PBL training, including new teams and training, Effective Classroom Practices, Practical Functional Behaviour Assessment and data-based decision making.
- Advise school teams in evidence-based strategies required to develop a whole school, multi-tiered framework for behaviour support.
- Participate in a network of regional PBL Principal Advisor and support the sharing of practices, specific training programs, resources, problem solving and advice.
- Manage the regional Expression of Interest process, in which schools self-nominate to receive initial PBL training.
- Analyse and report on required PBL evaluation data to central office.
- Provide mentoring to a regional network of school-based PBL Principal Advisor to support PBL implementation and to improve learning outcomes for all students.
- Work with and provide guidance to school leadership teams in understanding and implementing DET policy information to facilitate high quality instructional and behaviour practices at the point of delivery to students.
- Regular communication with PBL schools through face to face meetings and multi-media technologies.
- Assist the team with the processing of appeals to Student Disciplinary Absences when required.
