IPA are working in partnership with a major utilities' organisation based in Docklands, to assist with sourcing the position of _Commercial Manager - ICT. _This role is a six-month temporary contract, and will require you to work full-time hours, Monday to Friday. The hourly rate for this role will fall between $95ph - $105ph + super, depending on suitability and experience. Our client is able to offer flexible working arrangements, and this role will require 1-2 days in the office per week.

The purpose of this role is to provide commercial and vendor management leadership to the designated portfolio of Technology and Business stakeholders. The Commercial Manager will manage key relationships in the ICT area, ensuring all strategic, commercial, contractual and legal and financial outcomes are met. The role will actively run governance meetings, assisting in the development of relationships and performance within the ICT area. Providing commercial advice and building strong strategic partnerships will be key in this position. Other key areas of expertise will lay in risk management and reporting, commercial development, stakeholder engagement and procurement governance.

**Some of your Key Responsibilities**:

- Play a key role in the development, establishment, and growth of the IT Commercial and Vendor Performance management team.
- Run regular team meetings based on relationship building and performance.
- Identification and management of risks in contracts.
- Vendor performance review and reporting.
- Lead the contract variation and renewal process. Assist in reviewing, challenging, and consolidating inputs, ensuring stakeholders are consulted throughout the process.
- Act as the escalation point for problems and disputes within your supplier portfolio.
- Assist in the development, lead implementation and management of appropriate strategies and processes.
- Identify strategic opportunities to improve commercialisation of technology platforms.
- Manage key internal relationships with the Senior Management team, key business stakeholders and other Commercial and Technology Service Senior Management teams within the business.

To be considered for this position, you should have extensive experience in a commercial or public sector environment, preferably incorporating project, service delivery, technology or vendor management. Strong commercial expertise coupled with excellent communication (written and verbal) and relationship building skills across vendors, stakeholders and senior management will be highly regarded. You must demonstrate the ability to represent the organisation and successfully deal with sensitive commercial negotiations. Strong negotiation skills are required, with a proven track record in commercial/vendor management. You will be highly skilled in the management and operation of vendors with proven ability assess the capability of vendors and commercial proposals against organizational strategies.
