Optical Assistant / Receptionist - Join the Ascot Optical Team

Location: Ascot, Brisbane

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Greet and welcome customers with a warm and friendly demeanor.
- Assist customers in selecting suitable eyewear based on their prescription, lifestyle, and personal style.
- Assist customers with product inquiries and purchases in our retail area.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and inviting front desk and retail environment.
- Process transactions accurately and handle cash, Hicaps and credit card payments.
- Manage appointment scheduling.
- Maintain and update customer records in our database.
- Support the team with various administrative tasks as required.
- Stay updated with the latest eyewear trends and product knowledge.
- Collaborate with optometrists to ensure seamless patient care and follow-up.
- Social media management.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience in a receptionist or retail role preferred.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
- Proficient in using office and retail software (e.g., MS Office).
- Ability to handle transactions with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Friendly, approachable, and professional attitude.
