Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and personable Receptionist/Retail Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the face of our company, providing outstanding customer service, handling front desk responsibilities, and supporting our retail operations. This role is perfect for someone who is enthusiastic, organised, and loves interacting with people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and welcome customers with a warm and friendly demeanor.
  • Assist customers in selecting suitable eyewear based on their prescription, lifestyle, and personal style.
  • Handle incoming calls, emails, and inquiries efficiently and professionally.
  • Assist customers with product inquiries and purchases in our retail area.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and inviting front desk and retail environment.
  • Process transactions accurately and handle cash, Hicaps and credit card payments.
  • Manage appointment scheduling.
  • Maintain and update customer records in our database.
  • Support the team with various administrative tasks as required.
  • Stay updated with the latest eyewear trends and product knowledge.
  • Collaborate with optometrists to ensure seamless patient care and follow-up.
  • Social media management.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a receptionist or retail role preferred.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Proficient in using office and retail software (e.g., MS Office).
  • Ability to handle transactions with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Friendly, approachable, and professional attitude.
