Reporting to the IT Area Lead - Enterprise Tribe, the Platform Operations Manager sits within the IT Leadership team and will be responsible for driving operational excellence and ensuring the health and availability of IT systems, the role plays a critical part in helping ING keep the bank safe, one of the bank’s main strategic pillars.

This role works closely with other Operations Manager from the tribes and mentors/guides them to deliver required outcomes. They will be primarily focused on run activities but will also maintain a backlog of continuous improvement initiatives to ensure that as an organisation we are not just responsive to issues but also looking at opportunities to improve our products and offerings for end customers.

**What you’ll do **
- Ensure timely resolution of incident and problem tickets.
- Effectively managing IT risk by providing the tribes a forward view on key focus areas and delivering on planned initiatives.
- Establish ways of working / delivery lifecycle for successful execution on the risk roadmap for the IT assets for your tribe.
- Manage any vendors/3rd Parties to the agreed service levels and governance standards.
- Partner with senior stakeholders to communicate our risk and stability position.
- Engage with other tribe leadership teams to be involved in their planning and release processes to mitigate risks to security, reliability and cross-functional delivery Lead the development and implementation of the Technology strategy for your respective domains of responsibility.

**What we’re looking for**
- Demonstrated experience in working and managing timely delivery of complex projects with team spread across geographical locations.
- Experience working in Financial Services is ideal.
- ITIL certifications would be preferred.
- Good understanding of systems, Devops and SRE.
- Experience working with Agile delivery with experience in senior delivery or IT operations role.
- Strong analytical skills are required as understanding of current payment system processes.
