**Providing cultural consultancy across multiple programs in our Children's Services Unit.** Based in Noarlunga Centre.**

**The Role**

The Aboriginal Cultural Consultant is a senior role and will have experience within the child protection sector, sound knowledge of social work theories, models and underpinning frameworks (including therapeutic interventions for Aboriginal families) an in-depth knowledge of cultural issues that impact on Aboriginal families, program innovation, and an ability to provide expert cultural advice to the team, whilst managing competing priorities.

This is a part-time opportunity, 0.4-0.6 FTE. The role will be part of the RESTORE Intensive Family Services south team, which provides trauma-responsive, culturally competent, and child-focused interventions to families with children.

**What you need to bring**
- Extensive experience within the Aboriginal Community
- Experience working with families involved in the Child Protection sector
- Valid driver's licence
- Valid Department of Human Services (DHS) Working with Children Check.

**Desirable**
- Social work degree or equivalent
- Experience in working collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams
- Experience in providing cultural advice for policies and procedures
