Our client, an independent hardware company, are looking for an experienced Despatch Team Member, for their site in Matraville. This position is full-time but you will paid based on an hourly rate $25+ and overtime may be required from time to time.

You will be expected to ensure a high standard in the despatch of stock for the site in order to maximise sales and exceed customer service expectations. Manage WH&S responsibilities in line with government legislation, regulations, acts, codes and standards and the company's own policies.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Deliver customer service excellence
- Handle routine and specialist customer queries and complaints in a professional and helpful manner
- Seek support from Management as required
- Provide knowledgeable service and assist customers where required
- Assist in the dispatch of store stock in accordance with company procedures
- Ensure stock is not damaged when despatched where possible
- Maintain housekeeping standards. Merchandise not stored on the dock side of the yellow line or anywhere covering the yellow lines in the storeroom
- Ensure equipment in maintained in a safe manner
- Assist in order preparation
- Assist with the management of stock transfers

**EXPERIENCE & SKILLS**:

- Well developed verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to use initiative
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and be able to juggle a number of priorities
- Availability must flexible as shifts will be rostered across a 7 day trading week and may include late nights and weekend shifts
- Previous customer service experience
- Previous experience in a receiving role in a warehouse environment
- Forklift Licence

**Salary**: From $50,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Rotating roster
- Weekend availability
