Our client operates in the vocational education and training sector, they have multiple campuses located across Melbourne and the southeast.
**About The Role**
The role of the Well-being and Injury Management Lead reports to the CPO and is accountable for planning and developing the Employee Wellbeing Strategy and Wellbeing priorities.
With an emphasis and focus on proactive and early engagement in wellbeing intervention programs designed to improve individual outcomes, mitigate risk and reduce the incidence of injury and illness.
This role has one direct business partner report.
**Some of the Key Accountabilities**:
- Providing expert wellbeing and injury management advice, training and support to managers and employees
- Developing and implementing policies and procedures to support Company well-being initiatives
- Effectively managing the workers’ compensation processes and cases
- Facilitating processes for return to work, reporting and trend analysis to monitor and measure performance for improvement opportunities
- Providing comprehensive case management and administration of ill and injured employees, including the development and management of RTW plans as required
- Providing reports as required to inform relevant stakeholders of the effectiveness of the team's programs and services
**About You**
You will have relevant qualifications, skills, and experience in the following:
- Certified Return to Work Coordinator
- Certified Personal Injury Practitioner or related discipline or a willingness to obtain
- An in-depth understanding of Return-to-Work practices
- An ability to effectively manage multiple demands
- A thorough understanding of workers’ compensation premiums
- Extensive experience in workers’ compensation/personal injury claims management, rehabilitation and return to work programs or experience in a similar role
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
- Sound judgement and decision-making skills
- Exceptional verbal, written communication and presentation skills
- Able to build relationships, credibility and influence, at all levels of the organisation and with external stakeholders
- A robust understanding of mental health and/or anatomy and physiology
- Knowledge of Child Safe regulation and/or capacity to learn
