Your Opportunity
**As the Site Services Coordinator you will be responsible for**:
- Coordinate site based activities and services to provide a safe, effective and appropriate environment for TQEC staff, students and visitors.
- Assist the Infrastructure Operations Lead to deliver services as defined in agreed plans, schedules and SLAs and the daily management of operations to ensure the needs of the Region's stakeholders.
This position reports to the Infrastructure Operations Lead.
This is a Permanent Full-Time opportunity.
The position will be based primarily at our Nambour campus however you may be required to perform work at other TAFE Queensland campuses.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the success of transformation and cultural change through promoting and modelling the established values of Safety First, Working Together, Showing Initiative, Focussing on our Customer and Taking Responsibility.
- Supervise site-based facilities staff, coordinate rosters and cleaning schedules, manage leave and participate in ongoing staffing requirements including recruitment, performance management, professional development, relevant policy and procedures, and workplace health and safety issues/controls.
- Coordinate and monitor site facilities services to achieve effective and efficient safety management at the site including contractor inductions, site safety observations, implementation of corrective actions, fire detections and fire systems, development and review of JSEAs, SOPs, Risk Assessments and other relevant safety documentation.
- Coordinate, monitor and report on activity in relation to site-based plans, SLA's, and schedules to achieve effective, efficient and timely cleaning, grounds and equipment maintenance, repairs and minor works within appropriate delegations and authority using available resources.
- Support effective and efficient management of goods receipt, handling and storage, including operate equipment (fork lift etc.) as required by demands of the site/s.
- Coordinate and monitor activity associated with the hire of TQEC facilities to external groups in accordance with regional procedures to ensure the planned support activity is undertaken to meet the agreed expectations of both internal and external clients.
- Oversee the daily transport/fleet operations at the relevant campuses.
- Provide leadership on individual and team performance and future goals.
- Contribute to improvement in business processes and practices.
- Ensure day-to-day activities align with business operations and adhere to TAFE Queensland's Code of Conduct including the principles and practices of employment equity, ethical conduct and workplace health and safety.

The ideal applicant will be someone who has the following key capabilities:

- Demonstrated ability to effectively utilise and prioritise available resources and maintain associated information and administration systems.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse a situation and provide an appropriate timely response to ensure corrective action is taken.
- Sound level of Microsoft Office Suite skills and written and oral communication skills including the ability to problem solve and negotiate with staff and service providers.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise staff and work as a productive team member and interface with customers to achieve quality outcomes
- Sound knowledge of contemporary human resource management with particular reference to workplace health and safety legislation, risk management, employment equity, anti-discrimination, and of quality assurance issues.
