Fitter/Boilermaker

Maintain Coastal Services (MCS) is a company based in Baringa on the Sunshine Coast. We specialize in industrial maintenance and machinery installation. Our team of fabricators builds a wide array of support equipment for our industrial installations including platforms, stairs, ladders, conveyors and other material handling equipment. We also manufacture stainless steel food grade conveyors, augers, tanks and platforms.

About the role:

MCS are currently seeking a skilled Boilermaker or Fitter with Pipe welding experience for site installations. In this role you will be based on a variety of different sites around the greater sunshine coast and Brisbane areas installing and repairing machinery and structural steel. Site experience is essential and previous experience in quarry, asphalt or recycling a plus. After a probation period a vehicle may be offered to the right candidate. This role is generally hours per day and can be up to 6-7 days a week depending on work flow at the time. All travel is paid and O/T is paid on extra hours worked.

To be successful for this role you must possess the following skills and attributes:

· Trade qualified boilermaker or Fitter

· EWP Ticket, working at heights and confined spaces.

· Ability to work under pressure and follow deadlines.

· High levels of attention to details.

· Energetic with a great work ethic.

· Pipe welding and fitting experience would be highly regarded.

· Dogman's ticket and MR license would be highly regarded.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40.00 – $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40-60 per week

Schedule:

  • 10-12 hour shifts travelling from the workshop to site.
  • Saturday and Sunday work will be required for this role.

Supplemental pay types:

  • Overtime pay
  • Penalty rates

Licence/Certification:

  • Manual Driver Licence (Required)
