Your Role

This newly created role stems from a big growth opportunity within the business, expanding from an existing role which was split to accommodate another Research Technical Support Manager in the team, who will be dedicated to Canola.

You will be responsible for the correlation of canola research data, managing trials and providing technical services and agronomy & phenology advice.

As the Research Technician, you will be critical in providing technical support whilst working in conjunction with the Portfolio Manager to establish product development plans. You will also manage trials and collect, analyse, report and make recommendations from trial data.

Further to the above, your duties will include but not be limited to:
Coordinate product selection and advancements including presentation of data and recommendations at Product Planning Team meetings and seed business reviews

Develop and deliver technical training and resources to improve product knowledge capabilities of the sales team

Present agronomy research and information at field days and meetings for internal and external parties

Coordinate testing plans for Seed Applied Technologies

Ensure all field regulatory requirements of the Office of Gene Technology Regulator and Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority are met

Oversee trial contractors, compliance training, field trial protocols

About You

Reporting to the Portfolio Manager (Canola), you will present significant experience in agricultural sales and/or research.

To be considered for the role, it is important that you can address the following:
Degree in Ag Science or related field

Ability to develop, present and educate diverse groups

Current drivers licence

Ability to travel regularly
