Are you a finance professional with a passion for delivering exceptional results and working in a collaborative team environment? We have the perfect opportunity for you to make a significant impact as a Finance Analyst in our Trading & Origination team. You will be primarily responsible for delivering month end results and commentary, as well as supporting financial budgeting and forecasting.

What you’ll be doing

Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, Trading, Reporting & Accounting you will:

- Lead the month-end close process for the Trading & Origination portfolio.
- Post journals and meticulously record non-financial data.
- Prepare comprehensive balance sheet reconciliations for key GL accounts.
- Supporting financial budgeting and forecasting processes
- Generate variance analyses and insightful commentary for actual results vs. prior periods and budget, contributing to monthly performance reporting.
- Provide monthly reporting and analysis of financial performance to key stakeholders.
- Responsively address external auditor queries during half-year and year-end reporting.
- Prepare variance analyses and related commentary for Cashflow & Balance Sheet.
- Compile data for ad-hoc external parties and regulators (e.g., ACCC, ABS, ATO).
- Provide valuable input to Trading & Origination reporting and other ad-hoc analyses as required by the business and Finance management.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, fostering an environment of innovation and growth.

About you

What you’ll bring to the table
- Proven experience as a Finance Analyst, Accountant or similar.
- Finance experience in industry coupled with Big4 would be highly regarded.
- Qualified CA/CPA or working towards CA or CPA qualification.
- Exposure to Finance modules in ERP (preferably SAP).
- Proficient in MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Proven experience in month-end close processes and working with large complex data sets.
- Quick learner with the ability to connect business drivers to financials.
- Collaborative team player with experience working with various stakeholders.
