Our WA Government client is seeking to engage an Internal Audit Advisor on a Temporary basis, Full Time Position

**Key Responsibilities**
- Assists the Manager Audit and Risk in coordinating and implementing the audit plan.
- Undertake initial quality assurance of audit reports provided by audit providers.
- Upload and verify the implementation of audit recommendations in the City's risk software system, including testing the embedment of the processes and negotiating revised due dates, where required.
- Complete compliance audits for regulatory bodies, as required.
- Work closely with Risk and Business Continuity Officer to determine any changes to the risk profile of the City.
- Produce high quality reports for presentation at the Executive Leadership Team and Audit and Risk Committee meetings.
- Contribute to developing a 3-year Strategic Audit Plan.
- Provide counsel and/or assistance to staff on audit/risk/business related matters.
- Undertake corporate projects as required.
- Follow up on the implementation of agreed internal audit recommendations and carrying out investigations as required.

**Key Capabilities**
- Significant experience in the audit field.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team and with stakeholders at all levels.
- High level knowledge of Audit methodologies, risk management, business processes, financial management systems.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage competing deadlines and workloads and provide a high-quality service.
- Demonstrated ability to undertake analysis on large amounts of data and translate into easy to understand information.
- Demonstrated ability to develop a range of communication including reports, procedures, policy and presentations.
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills.
- Thorough understanding of the current International Professional Practices Framework for Internal Auditing.
- A qualification in a relevant industry area.
