**About the Position**

The Internal Audit Advisor actively contributes to the development of the City of Perth’s Audit Plan and plays a vital role in supporting the Manager of Audit and Risk in conducting internal audits. This position provides expert advice to internal stakeholders to enhance the efficiency of risk management and control procedures within the City of Perth.

Reporting to the Audit and Risk Manager, this position will support the City by:

- Coordinating, scoping, and implementing the City’s Internal Audit Plan in a timely and efficient manner.
- Upholding quality assurance principles and contributing to the development of internal auditing processes.
- Working with the Audit and Risk Manager to identify and use software to manage audit recommendations.
- Uploading and verifying the implementation of audit recommendations in the CGR system, including testing the embedment of the processes and negotiating revised due dates, where required.
- Delivering audits as directed by Manager Audit and Risk, as per the audit plan, minimizing the impact on key stakeholders.
