As the Internal Audit Manager, you will play a crucial role in providing independent and objective assessments of the company's internal controls, risk management procedures, and overall governance framework. You will liaise with the appointed external internal audit providers as required and collaborate with cross-functional departments and provide valuable insights that contribute to the continuous improvement of the DRA's operations.

The role is offered on a **permanent part time** basis at our Perth Office reporting to the Group Manager, Governance, Risk & Compliance.

**Key Duties**:

- Developing and executing a risk-based internal audit plan that aligns with the DRA's objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Conducting and overseeing financial, operational, and compliance audits to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and identify areas for improvement.
- Providing guidance and support to the any out-sourced internal audit service providers, reviewing their reports and ensuring the quality and accuracy of audit documentation.
- Assessing risks and controls across various business processes, identifying potential control weaknesses and recommending appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Collaborating with senior management and stakeholders to communicate audit findings, develop action plans, and monitor the implementation of corrective measures.
- Staying up-to-date with industry best practices, regulatory changes, and emerging risks to adjust audit strategies as needed.
- Fostering a culture of ethical behaviour, risk awareness, and accountability within the organisation.
- Preparing comprehensive audit reports, including clear and concise recommendations for improvements, and present findings to the Audit and Risk Committee.

**Criteria**:

- Qualified Accountant CPA or CA as well as CIA certification and IIA membership
- Minimum 3 -5 years of progressive experience in internal audit within a large international accounting firm.
- Strong understanding of auditing standards, risk assessment methodologies, and control frameworks.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, with the ability to work in a complex, dynamic environment.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
