**The Opportunity**:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Production Supervisor to join the Pre-Delivery and Inspection Department with Komatsu’s Wacol Branch. Reporting to the Production Manager, the purpose of the role is to lead, mentor and develop employees to maintain a competent and effective team. Additionally the role is also responsible for planning workload and managing the production schedule to ensure resources are available to meet demand, executing works orders to the required safety, quality, cost and delivery standards, and promoting safety and continuous improvement.

**Roster: Monday to Friday**

**Your Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**:

- Understanding of Komatsu Australia’s Manufacturing Business.
- Thorough understanding manufacturing processes and practices.
- Thorough understanding of Quality Management and Continuous Improvements.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Minimum 3 years in management experience in an operational role.
- Tertiary qualifications in an Engineering or Business related field or Trade qualified with substantial post trade qualifications
- Ability to communicate with internal and inter-company contacts and to demonstrate a commitment and understanding of what is required to create a customer focused manufacturing support environment
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills supported by the ability to communicate at all levels of the Komatsu Australia structure
- Experience in planning activity.
- Knowledge of Komatsu IT systems and Microsoft products (Outlook, Word and Excel)
- Good written and oral communication skills for both daily communication and staff training.
- High accuracy level of production data with sound analytical, organisation and problem solving skills.
- Purchasing knowledge.
- Ability to use Microsoft project.
- Proficient negotiation and communication skills supported by training in communications
- Experience setting Performance Development plans in conjunction with management guidelines would be desirable
