About the Opportunity

ServiceStream’s Telecommunications division are currently seeking a SAED Design Manager - Electrical to join our growing company. You will be responsible for leading a National team of Engineering and design professionals across multiple clients in Mobile Communications.

Nature of position: Permanent, Full Time

Location: Parramatta, NSW

Reporting Line: Senior Program Manager

Key Responsibilities
- Managing and co-ordinating all Engineering design related activities nationally to ensure business and project activities are met
- Ensure that all design components of the pre-construction program of works are executed efficiently and in a timely manner
- Provide technical leadership and quality governance in Structural Engineering
- Identify and execute all contracted KPI’s across all Mobile communications programs of work in design
- Achieve sustainable commercial outcomes for the business
- Work closely with the Professional Services national team to optimise delivery and maximise commercial outcomes for our clients and the business
- Effectively manage the end-to-end design delivery process
- Ensure that the National design team meets specific cost and time expectations on each project and against a program of works in order to meet Financial Year budgets
- Effectively co-ordinate resources (internal and external) under role delegation, including resource levelling where required, to ensure that monthly utilisation and budgeted performance targets are met
- Lead, manage and coach Design Team (eg. Engineers, Drafters, Coordinators and Admin team members) to meet project objectives and maximise performance
- Ensuring design packages are in accordance with Australian Legislation, applicable Codes and Standards, SSMC processes and policies, and client-specific requirements
- Ensure that design packages present the most cost-effective construction solution
