Integrated Water Management Officer

**Full time, 2 year temporary opportunity**:

- **$98.3k - $110.1k per annum + Superannuation**

**About the role**
The Integrated Water Management Officer role forms a key part of the Sustainability and Infrastructure Department at Glen Eira City Council. The role is responsible for leading the continual development and implementation of the inaugural _Glen Eira Integrated Water Management Plan | Dhumbali W'urneet Gadhaba_. This includes development and delivery of key programs and projects, collaborating with First Nations people to deliver actions and incorporate Indigenous knowledge into the development of IWM projects, and developing and maintaining key stakeholder relationships.
- Other responsibilities include_:

- Collaborating across council, building internal capacity to deliver on IWM objectives
- Reviewing and upholding delivery of Council's IWM Plan
- Developing and delivering projects relating to water conservation, water quality improvements and alternative water use together with key objectives within Council's Climate Emergency Response Plan
- Support planning for Climate Change adaptation and mitigation e.g. flood prevention/management, drought/alternate water use and water efficiency and water quality concerns.
- Develop and maintain external stakeholder relationships to extend Council's ability to achieve the best possible outcomes for integrated water management.

**About you**
You will require a technical knowledge of integrated water management and catchment management, and also have experience in strategic planning in urban environments and flood management.

The following is also required:

- Degree or diploma in engineering, environmental science or public policy with several years' experience or a lesser qualification with extensive experience.
- Several years project management experience
- A technical knowledge of integrated water management and catchment management
- Computer Skills: Familiarity with Windows Word, Publisher, Adobe, Excel, Powerpoint
- Project Management skills
- Employee Working with Children Check
- Victorian Drivers Licence
