**About us**:
Across Australia Just Better Care provides in-home aged care and disability support services, supporting people to live independently. For over 15 years, we have been supporting older people, and people living with disability, to live independently in their own homes and stay connected to their local community.

**This Specific Role**:
This role involves assisting a young male participant (teenager) with his personal care and feeding requirements, ensuring you provide person-centred care and support.

Extra work with other clients will also be available.

**Duties and responsibilities include**:

- Personal Care: Showering and dressing.
- Meal Support including Peg Feeding.
- Manual Handling: Hoisting and other physical aids required due to limited mobility.
- Monitoring the well-being of customers and reporting on their progress.
- Domestic Assistance
- Participating in staff meetings and attending training as required.

**Availability**:

- Daily Services required: 6.30am-8am and 4.00-6.00pm

**About you**:

- Caring, compassionate & friendly
- Good interpersonal skills & written/verbal communication skills
- Reliable & dependable
- Ability to build rapport & good working relationships
- Comfortable using technology (i.e. mobile app) for accessing rosters & recording customer notes/feedback

**What you will need**:

- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance / Criminal Record Check
- Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination
- Current First Aid certificate/CPR
- Current Australian Drivers License
- Reliable, registered, and insured vehicle
- Smart phone with internet access
- Current Working with Children Check (Paid Check)
- Certificate III or IV in Aged Care, Home & Community Care, Individual Support or Disability Services
- Experience with PEG Feeding and manual handling aids (preferred)
