**_ About the role_**

As the General Manager, Commercial and Vendor Management, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our technology vendor strategy. You will oversee the performance and value delivered by Alinta Energy’s technology vendors and service providers, ensuring they align with our business objectives. Your leadership will be key in establishing robust governance frameworks, leading cross-functional initiatives, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to maximise returns and manage risks.

**_ What you’ll do_**
- Monitor and evaluate vendor deliverables and financial performance, ensuring alignment with contractual commitments
- Conduct regular reviews, develop action plans for underperforming vendors, and pursue strategic partnerships to drive economies of scale
- Support market-based sourcing activities, including RFIs, RFPs, and contract negotiations
- Develop a technology sourcing strategy to align with business objectives and our technology roadmap
- Advise on vendor contracts, manage the contract lifecycle, and mitigate risks associated with vendor management.

**_Your experience _**
- Proven experience in a senior commercial or vendor management position, with a strong focus on vendor management, negotiation, and contract administration
- Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) certification or equivalent
- Familiarity with procurement best practices, vendor risk management, and governance frameworks
- Strong business acumen and financial modelling capabilities to assess commercial viability of vendor relationships
- Natural flair for building, and maintaining, strong relationships to help foster a collaborative and inclusive workplace

This role requires strong commercial acumen and exceptional relationship management skills to drive continuous improvement in vendor relationships and contract management.
