**Role Summary**

We are now seeking a Principal Consultant to support our national Transport Advisory team. This presents an excellent opportunity to join a team with a strong and respected delivery track record, with multi-year engagements supporting major Australian rail projects. You will be accountable for managing the delivery of existing rail operations and strategy projects and development of new work.

**Desired Skills, Experience and Capabilities**
- Degree qualified in engineering, transport planning or other relevant disciplines.
- Experience in managing teams of technical SMEs, including input from remote/global SMEs within a project delivery environment
- Excellent technical, project management and communication skills to manage the delivery of strategic and technical advisory engagements
- Ability to engage with and represent SNC-Lavalin Atkins in front of senior stakeholders and government representatives
- Adept at communicating complex ideas to non-specialists, including writing, drawing and presentation skills
- Demonstrable experience of the following would be beneficial;
- Rail corridor and network capacity analysis
- Rail operational and infrastructure planning
- Service plan and timetable development and optioneering
- Network operating plans or concept timetables
- Development of fleet
- Maintenance and stabling plans
- Rail network simulation
