About the Role
This role provides specialist clinical care to patients of the Hepatology Service and assumes overall responsibility for patient care. Services provided include:
- Participate in the on-call roster
- Provides outpatient consultations as required
- Participates in multidisciplinary clinics and meetings
- Supervision and teaching of registrars, junior doctors and medical students, and teaching for other members of the multidisciplinary team
- Participation and or leadership of research and quality improvement activities
Your key responsibilities
- This role reports to the Director of Gastroenterology & Hepatology
- This position fulfils accountabilities and responsibilities in accordance with Metro South's purpose and objectives.
- Foster a culture of interprofessional collaboration and leadership through understanding the role and the roles of others in the interprofessional team leveraging this knowledge to establish and meet client goals and inform service direction.
