An exciting opportunity exists for a Protective Services Co-ordinator to coordinate the operations of the Protective Services Department in periods of peak demand and assume a leadership role in any emergent situation to ensure a seamless service delivery.

**The purpose of this role is to**:

- Effectively coordinate security operations at one of several main facilities within the SCHHS, ensuring a high standard of service delivery to staff, patients, and visitors through compliance with SCHHS policies and procedures.
- Lead security staff in promoting and maintaining standards of best practice, awareness of contemporary industry practices including Accreditation, National Standards, and technology.

**Key Responsibilities include**:

- Ensure comprehensive security services and assistance are provided to patients, visitors, staff and contractors whilst at the same time protecting the physical assets and information owned by the SCHHS.
- Ensure rostering and payroll is managed in accordance with best practice guidelines and relevant award/s and is carried out in accordance with the applicable financial and HR delegations.
- Prioritise tasks and ensure requests for security and/or emergency assistance are in accordance with Queensland Health, service and facility guidelines, policies, and procedures.
