We are Quest Coffee Roasters, a long established espresso bar and organic coffee roastery with a loyal community following in Burleigh Heads and the Gold Coast. We sell coffee beans and products in store, online, and wholesale. We are known for our top quality coffee, delicious in house baked cakes and treats, and friendly café service. We have an opening for a Day Manager and / or Cafe Manager at our Quest Burleigh Cafe with longer term transition to Broadbeach.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Ensure happiness and effectiveness of cafe team, including training, rostering, and hiring.
- Maintaining and enforcing high quality standards across cafe operations in food, drink, and cleanliness.
- Running shifts and designing / implementing new processes.
- Inventory, vendor, and supply management.
- Ensuring a profitable cafe menu.
- Uplifting the cafe experience for customers.
- Barista and baking responsibilities alongside the team.

**ABOUT YOU**

**PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS**
- 2 or more years of recent experience as a cafe manager
- 2 or more years experience as a barista
- Strong listening and verbal communication skills
- A strong understanding of health and safety

**NICE TO HAVE**
- Certification in Hospitality or related industry.
- Experience as a Cafe Manager, and or Opening / Closing Cafe.
- Baking or food handling experience.
- IT / programming experience
- Marketing / photography / or writing experience

**PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS**
- Australian citizen or resident with an appropriate visa to work in Australia
- Availability to work at least 1 weekend day every 2nd week
- Availability to work shifts from 5am to 2:45pm weekdays, and between hours 5am to 5pm on weekends.
- Loves coffee and tea
- Own transport to and from work

**BENEFITS**
- $26.00 to $28.00 / hr Base Rate + Super, Bonuses, and Penalty Rates. Equates to $59K - $63K pa + Super & Bonuses

**Salary**: $59,000.00 - $63,000.00 per year
