Here is your chance to join a diversified family-owned agri-business based on the Darling Downs, specialising in livestock and food production and a broad range of other agricultural enterprises. You will have significant diversity in your work, as you liaise with other business units and personnel across nine sites. Due to ongoing growth, they are seeking a self-motivated and experienced WH&S professional to join their team and help take WH&S to the next level in the business.

**The Role**

This full-time permanent role will lead health and safety initiatives and the development of a health and safety culture for the business. Working closely with the HR/WHS Manager, and the various Division/Site Mangers, the role will develop, implement, and maintain a WH&S Management System compliant with all relevant legislation and codes. Your responsibilities are to:

- Support the strategic WH&S objectives
- Develop and Implement a Safety Leadership strategy, policy, and plan to develop a safety culture across the organization
- Provide health and safety advice and support, and coordinate health and safety activities
- Identify health and safety risks and implement actions to minimize risk
- Prepare and deliver appropriate training including induction and toolbox talks
- Support the development, implementation and maintenance of Quality and Environment Management Systems, and support a continual improvement culture
- Undertake WH&S audits
- Conduct investigations into WH&S incidents
- Manage Workcover and rehabilitation matters

The position requires travel to visit 9 local sites, and the ability to be on-call to attend incidents when required. A current Class “C” driver’s licence and clean driving record is essential.

**Qualifications, Experience and Attributes**

You will need to have previous experience in:

- Developing and implementing WH&S plans, management systems, policies, and procedures
- WH&S auditing and risk assessment
- Conducting WH&S investigations into incidents
- Delivering WH&S training, work assessments, rehabilitation, and return to work programs
