**ABOUT THE ROLE**

Due to ongoing growth, our service operations are expanding, and we have a permanent, full-time opportunity available for a Trade Assistant - Heavy Commercial Vehicles to join our growing and passionate team.

This valued position will require a mechanical fitter background with a willingness to:

- Utilise skills and knowledge to assist mechanics when diagnosing problems with a range of fleet vehicles and equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation in accordance with Workplace Health and Safety, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with routine maintenance tasks as per Mort & Co Transport and Service Centre scheduling.
- Communicate with external parties and suppliers in a courteous manner.
- Maintain a clean and safe workshop.
- Assist in reducing risks and hazards and improving quality.

**ABOUT YOU**

This valued position will require:

- Relevant experience in maintenance and repair of heavy vehicles
- Ability to assist in delivering excellent customer service to a loyal customer base.
- Current Driver’s Licence
- Understanding of Workplace Health and Safety

Mort & Co have a strong commitment to health and safety. You will have the ability to pass all pre-employment checks, including the appropriate Fitness 2 Drive medical assessment and Basic Fatigue Management Accreditation (or Commercial Drivers medical) in addition to National Police check prior to a formal offer being made.
