**About the role**

The Operations Manager will be responsible for developing new business within Data Centre projects, leading the Bid through to closing out and transitioning onto the successful design and delivery of the project.

Our Major Projects National Business Unit is expanding into data centre projects, and we are seeking talented individuals to join our dynamic team. With UGL’s renowned in-house engineering and design expertise, coupled with our exceptional project delivery and operations and maintenance capabilities, we are positioned as a leader in the market.

This role can be based in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, or Perth.

**About the role**
- Establish and implement the strategic directions and growth of the national business unit.
- Accountable for state revenue growth and required to work with the Sales and Pre-Contract teams to ensure yearly revenue targets are met.
- Plan effective strategies for the financial success of the operations.
- Build, develop, and maintain strong relationships with the major state operations clients.
- Identify business risk profile and act on high-risk elements.
- Create a culture in the team that fosters high performance, continues the strong safety culture and continuous improvement.

**About you**
- Qualifications in Engineering, Project Management or equivalent.
- Solid experience working with Data Centre projects.
- An understanding of financial data. Interpreting and making decisions based on financial information
- Understanding of risk allocation, commercial and contractual obligations.
- Are customer focused, team oriented, accountable and results driven.
