About the role

We are seeking a Fire Systems Tester to join our team at Complete Plumbing and Fire Pty Ltd in Wollongong, NSW. As a fulltime Fire Systems Tester, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and compliance of our clients' fire protection systems.

What you'll be doing

  • Regularly inspect, test and maintain a range of fire protection systems, including fire extinguishers, fire hose reels, fire sprinkler systems, and emergency lighting
  • Prepare detailed reports documenting the results of inspections and any necessary remedial work
  • Liaise with clients to schedule inspections and communicate findings
  • Provide technical advice and recommendations to clients on the optimal maintenance and upgrade of their fire protection systems
  • Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with relevant Australian Standards and regulations
  • Assist with the installation and commissioning of new fire protection systems as required

What we're looking for

  • Experience as a Fire Systems Tester or similar role, or willing to be trained in Fire Protection certificate III
  • Relevant trade qualifications, such as a Certificate III in Fire Protection Inspection and Testing or willing to be trained in Certificate III
  • Knowledge of fire protection systems and associated Australian Standards or willing to be trained
  • Excellent problem-solving and technical troubleshooting skills
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • A keen eye for detail and the ability to maintain accurate records
  • A current driver's licence and the ability to travel to client sites as required
