The College is seeking an experienced **Coordinator Outdoor Experiences**to join our dedicated HPE/OED Department on a part-time basis (0.9 FTE). Reporting to the Head of Sports and the Dean of Students, this position will be responsible for planning, preparing, managing and co-ordinating inspirational outdoor experiences, including educational camps, expeditions, and activities throughout the school year from Pre-Primary to Year 12.

The 0.9 FTE consists of 0.7 FTE OED Coordination and a 0.2 FTE IGSSA interschool sporting component.

**The successful applicants will have**:

- National Police Clearance
- Current Working with Children card (WWC)
- Current Wilderness First Aid or equivalent
- Current Surf Bronze Medallion or START
- Current Resuscitation
- Appropriate Driver’s License to drive school buses
- Specific activity-related instructor qualifications (e.g. roping, paddling, Bush Walking)

**The following essential criteria must be addressed in your cover letter**:

- Experience with risk management and safety, planning and response to potential emergency situations in a basecamp and wilderness environments.
- A variety of outdoor education and leadership experiences across all school year levels fostering progressive educational values and principles.
- Experience instructing specific Outdoor Education activities - depending on area of specialisation/personal competence.
- Experience leading and facilitating groups in Outdoor Education programs.
- Demonstrated experience with Outdoor Education activity equipment selection and use.
- Commitment to providing students with a safe, supportive and respectful learning environment.
