Guide Dogs Victoria is seeking a passionate Volunteer Manager to lead and manage our Volunteer program. You will play a crucial role in overseeing the recruitment, engagement, and retention of our Volunteer workforce. Working closely with internal stakeholders and volunteers, you will be responsible for ensuring a positive and fulfilling experience for all involved, while upholding the values and mission of Guide Dogs Victoria.
In this role you will be responsible for:
**Volunteer Program Management**: Developing and executing an organisation-wide Volunteer Strategy, defining key program outcomes and deliverables to enhance the overall volunteer program at Guide Dogs Victoria.
**Volunteer Onboarding**: Facilitating the onboarding of new volunteers to ensure they have the necessary knowledge and skills to perform their roles safely, effectively and confidently.
**Volunteer Engagement**: Fostering a positive and inclusive volunteer culture by regularly communicating with volunteers, recognising their contributions, and addressing any concerns or issues that may arise. Organising appreciation events and recognition programs to celebrate the contributions of our Volunteers.
**Volunteer Database Management**: Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all Volunteers.
**Compliance and Risk Management**: Ensuring all Volunteer activities adhere to relevant policies, guidelines, and legal requirements.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in managing and coordinating volunteer programs, preferably in a for-purpose or community-based organisation.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect and engage with diverse groups of volunteers and stakeholders.
- Excellent stakeholder management both internal and external.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to motivate and inspire volunteers to achieve organisational objectives.
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities, with the capacity to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
