An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Product Owner to join a Federal Government agency based in Sydney CBD. This role will be for 12 months.
**Your new role**
***:
- You will contribute to the data strategy and product roadmap for key customer accounts.
- Respond and oversee customer needs, pain-points and opportunities, research and recommend opportunities for improvement.
- Use reporting and analysis tools and establish Data & Analytics capabilities to design, deliver and continually enhance data assets and products while leading the squad in product concept design and validation
- Maintain, assemble and prioritise a squad backlog, reflecting product roadmap activities and accommodating important and urgent ad hoc requests.
- Lead backlog planning, including story/requirements definition and effort estimation.
- Lead the squad in sprint planning, providing direction and ensure all squad members are leveraged and contribute effectively to each sprint.
- Prepare and participate in regular showcases with the squad, sharing progress made with customers and other stakeholders and taking feedback into the product backlog.
- Prepare and participate in quality assurance and solution standards reviews with the squad, sharing with Chapter Leads.
- Accommodate BAU and ad hoc customer requests, designing and proposing data assets and product that will reduce manual effort.
**What you'll need to succeed**

- Experience in large enterprise environments is preferable
- Experience working in an Agile environment
- Experience with technical development teams to deliver complex digital products and services
- Experience with Data projects will be highly regarded
- Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and interpersonal skills
