We combine cutting-edge technology with a collaborative, quality-driven culture. We are currently seeking an experienced **CNC Machine Operator**to join our manufacturing team in Melbourne.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Operate and program Zund/Bullmer/Matic CNC machines to guide machine tools to produce to specifications
- Interpret CAD drawings and specifications to determine appropriate machine setup.
- Set up and adjust CNC equipment to perform cutting jobs to specifications.
- Select and install suitable cutting tools, jigs, and fixtures for each job.
- Align and secure workpieces and tools accurately to ensure precision.
- Perform polishing and finishing tasks to ensure the products meet the specified finish quality
- Conduct trial runs and make necessary adjustments for optimal operation.
- Monitor machine operations and inspect finished products to maintain high quality standards.
- Packing jobs like SAV’s directly after cutting into tubes.
- Liaise with despatch regarding packing bigger objects before cutting.
- Perform routine maintenance and identify mechanical issues early.
- Collaborate with machinists, engineers, and quality control teams to improve production efficiency.

**Skills and Competencies**:

- Minimum 3 years experience operating CNC machines.
- Strong understanding of machining principles and metal properties.
- Proficient in the use of precision measuring instruments such as micrometres and callipers.
- Ability to accurately interpret technical drawings and CAD files.
- Experience with both CNC programming and manual machine operation.
- High attention to detail and strong commitment to safety and quality.
- Effective problem-solving and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
